Distinguished Sunshine Chapter Corporate Members:

SUBJECT: AUSA Annual Meeting, October 9-11, 2017 Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC

October is almost here which means that the AUSA Annual Meeting is just around the corner. Don’t forget to mark your calendar, if you haven’t already done so.

Our Chapter will be recognized for many outstanding accomplishments, to include the following awards and streamers:

RECOGNITION/ACCOMPLISHMENTS

þ Member Communications       þ Army History

þ Family Programs       þ Star Chapter

þ Army Birthday       þ Take the Hill

þ ROTC/JROTC/OCS Support       þ Recruiting Command Support

The honor of this recognition is possible because of our many volunteers and the support of Corporate Members which is the foundation for our Chapter’s success. Please accept my sincere gratitude for all that you do to support our Soldiers, their families, AUSA and our Nation.

Chapter Badges: The Sunshine Chapter will order badges for Chapter members who submit requests for the traditional and colorful trail of ribbons reflecting our great efforts. To request, provide your name and contact info to De Voorhees (de.voorhees2@gmail.com), no later than September 13.

Event Tickets/Hotel Rooms: The Sunshine Chapter has procured a limited number of event tickets. We will be looking at criteria including Corporate Membership status, Annual Meeting Sponsorship and chapter support to finalize allocations. We secured a limited number of hotel rooms close to the Convention Center and that block is now closed. To be wait listed, contact Debbie Berry (debbie.berry@lmco.com) NLT 31 August. Individuals must pay for their own room. Those requesting event tickets should contact Debbie not later than 31 August. Reference the attached event calendar for ticket info. Confirmation of ticket requests will occur in early September.

Hospitality/Meeting Room: Corporate Member sponsorships allow us to continue offering networking opportunities and a meeting space. Hospitality for Sponsors and Corporate Members will be Monday evening with Tuesday being open to all AUSA guests. The meeting space is reserved for daytime use by emailing me. Dates and times on page 3 of this letter.

We need sponsors: We need your assistance. The sponsorship form is attached (page 3) and available at www.ausa-sunshine.org. Direct your questions to De Voorhees (de.voorhees2@gmail.com) 407-620-1158. Further details regarding the Annual Meeting can be found at www.ausa.org.
