The U.S. Army Turns 229!

The AUSA Sunshine Chapter and the US Army Program Executive Office, Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) celebrated the Army’s 229th birthday with a bash at the Renaissance Resort Hotel, SeaWorld. Nearly 900 birthday revelers showed up to eat, drink and dance the night away. The gala event was accentuated by the attendance of 40 Florida National Guard Soldiers that recently returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The AUSA Sunshine Chapter awarded the Acquisition “Person of the Year” award to Ms. Jean Burmester! Congratulations!

Next year’s Army Birthday Ball will be Saturday, 11 June 2005. Mark your calendars now for an even bigger and better event!
