The AUSA Sunshine Chapter Scholarship Selection Committee has made their selection for the 2004 AUSA Scholarships. This year the committee was comprised of three (3) individuals: two from PEO STRI and one representing industry . The selection panel determined the winners based on the following weighted factors:

• Scholarship (Total school experience)
• Community Involvement
• Essay

The selection committee had no knowledge of who the applicants were. Any reference to names or parents names were blacked out prior to providing the packets to the committee members, therefore the selection committee had no idea who they were selecting. Each application had a cover sheet with a Alphabet on it, thus the selection committee only knew applicants as "A, B ,C etc." Each applicant received a numeric rating based on the weighted factors. Winners were selected based on their numeric scores. Winners selected were:
