Ahtna Development Corporation (ADC); is a subsidiary of Ahtna Incorporated. Ahtna Inc. is one of 12 Alaska regional corporations established by Congress under terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971. Ahtna Inc. established its headquarters in Glennallen, Alaska, the heart of the Copper River Basin. Ahtna Inc. has approximately 1,249 shareholders, most of which are Athabascan. Ahtna Inc. is committed to profitability, providing a broad range of opportunities to its shareholders and preserving the Native culture.
ADC was formed in November 1975, by Ahtna Inc. to pursue business opportunities that would enhance the economic well being of the Native shareholders of the region. From 1975 to 1994, ADC was active in numerous contracts and ventures providing services such as road maintenance, remote camp construction, security, hotel and remote camp catering, janitorial maintenance, housekeeping and real estate management.
ADC began to shift its course towards providing a wider base of services in November 1994, when the Small Business Administration certified it as a Tribal 8(a) company.

ADC’s contract with the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has added an engineering technology support dimension to our diverse product and services support line. Some of the areas of expertise include:
- Electronic information data delivery system
- Instructor support for simulator training
- Maintenance of sophisticated digital training devices
- Operation of simulators in support of US Army schools
- Our technology support team consists of engineers who provide maintenance, installation, de-installation, repairs, upgrades, supply engineering support on simulators used by the military. This ensures the highest standard of today’s technology for training the United States Military.
